It's the same generally, was first called lesser platinum, then only lesser.
Why ? Cause Ralph Davis first male is a lesser platty. The Platty is another gene in the Bel complex.

Ralph's original animal is the first Platinum or "Platty Daddy" as Ralph calls it. Lesser Platinum just got to be too much to say so everyone started just saying Lesser.
