My Eastern kings decided today was the day to start their 2011 family. Cuddling, courting, DNA transfer. We'll see what comes of it. Last year they had 19 babies, none of which fed on pinkies at first. And I do this to myself because....?

Very nice Easterns....I like the real thin banded ones as much as the very thick banded ones.........

You do it because it is addicting......LOL

I like them both too! How do you get them to eat pinks? It's always nice to hear everyones methods.

Those are very nice. They look like NJs, with those high arched, thin chains. Good luck with some more hard to feed babies (LOL). I can laugh, 'cause I am in the same boat. They are worth it though, aren't they. Again, beautiful easterns. Thanks.

Nice, I like the thin banded look as well. Agree w/ Will, those look like Jersey or maybe Md. I'm probably picking up some F1 Md locales this summer...but only after there on pinks LOL

collect a half dozen before it gets hot, freeze them, and cut into 2 inch pieces. Anything that doesn't start on pinks will likely take worm snakes, a more natural food source for kings in the wild. Once they take frozen thawed worm snake chunks a couple times, use a piece of worm snake to scent a frozen thawed, washed pink... has worked consistently for me in the past.

Good Luck.
