Terrible pic. but you get the idea. The female has been been off food since mid. February. Looks promising........

Here is the female.....

and the male.........

If all goes well we should have some neonates around the Fall....

Thanks for looking!

Just to show my ignorance, are those Viper Boas? Do they come from the Solomon Islands? Do they eat rodents or strictly lizards? They are amazing animals! Keep up the good work with the locality stuff young man!

Jeff,
Thanks a bunch for the kind words!! Viper boas can be found throughout Papua New Guinea, Irian Jaya and some offshore Indonesian islands. All of our adults Candoia eat mice and small rats. It is always good to have a steady supply of small tree frogs or lizards to feed neonate Candoia (Jerry Conway, personal communication 2007).

We have never produced them.......its been a long time project but we hope this is the year

Take care!

Those are so cool! They look like wanna be blood pythons! The color and contrast on those little guys are just mind blowing. Im shocked I'll be considering those in my collection for sure now. Wishing you the best of luck with that pair. 8)
