It is an aberrant calking.
The colloquial term "blotched" is usually used for a L. g. goini or meansi........

I would just call it aberrant. There's already been a book written using the name "blotched" to describe a different morph of Cal king found in the wild. The one you have there is a man made morph. Nice looking snake.

I fully agree. Not what I would term "blotched" at all either, but rather a fairly typical abstract aberrant patterning.

Yeah, too many different patterns, that are not produced on a consistent basis, to give names too. In the end I guess it doesn't matter because people are going to name them what they want to name them. I don't know how many times I've clicked on an add for a high white Cal king and seen a king that did have a lot of white, but not the typical selectively bred Striped/Newport pattern that name was given to. Thats one reason why I favor non man made morphs in Cal kings. A blued blond is a blue eyed blond, a striper is a striper, and a Newport is a Newport. I have no problem with those who mix them, its just not for me.

I hear loud and clear Ross!. As extremely variable as many of the Cal. king morphs can be, a coined name definitely isn't warranted for every slight difference. They are simply variants of said morph.
