Are anybody's tegu's "calm" enough to hang out and sit on the couch or something for more than 10 minutes before looking for a hide spot? I know they hide most of the day (I have a red). He's very gentle and nice, but won't sit still very long unless he's underneath something. I was thinking of getting a blue, so I was wondering if it varies by personality, or are tegu's just not good lap lizards? I know beardie brings his to Home Depot and things like that - I don't see that happening with my active little guy. Would a blue (or any other tegu) possibly be different? I would love to take my tegu places outside of my house, it just seems like I constantly have to pick him up to keep him from getting lost in some dark corner or under a piece of furniture. I imagine it gets easier the bigger they get also - mine is 2 feet head to tail. Any input is greatly appreciated.
