I know I do. We've had a few clutches so far this year but this one I just had to post. They are a little small and two have weak veins but I am stoked to finally get some viable eggs from a visual female. Jeff

other various reptiles, animals, kids and a smoking sweet husband; would be perfect if he only liked ball pythons...
Jeff,
Have you had bad eggs from visual females before? Once, twice, many? Sorry to be so nosy.
Thanks Mike
Hey Mike, This is the first clutch I have gotten from a visual Caramel female good or bad. She is a 2006 animal that I have bred every year since 2008. The first year she did nothing. The last two years she would develop palpable follicles but then reabsorb them. I have her sister as well and have been breeding her the same amount of time. This year is the first year she has shown any sign of development and the follicles are still palpable but don't seem to be getting any bigger. I think she is going to stall out but this is all very hopeful for us. Maybe next year. Jeff
Thanks, Good luck.
Mike
a friend of mine has been breeding his het caramels for years without any eggs until this year as well. only 2 viable eggs and 3 slugs....well 2 good eggs is better than no eggs.

Yeah that's a shame. The only breedable het Caramel female we have has been very dependable and prolific for us. She has laid now 3 years in a row, 6 good eggs each time. And interestingly enough last year she laid on 6-23-10 and this year she laid on 4-23-11. That's only 10 months to the day between clutches. She has definitely earned a year off. Jeff
