I bred a female for first time couple of weeks ago. Have introduced male a few times. Female has been a bit nutty since crawling up side if tank, circling perimeter of tank, just being very active out of character. Any explanation?

Does she have a lay box? If not, I would put one in. She may be looking for a place to lay.

As Louie said, make sure there is a nest box available...
It is not odd behavior at all actually... It is quit normal for a gravid female to be restless a few days before laying her eggs...
I do have a lay box in and I am hoping to see some eggs in there.
