Not much but.....

I just finished cleaning this all up for some of my Kings and Milks. I built this a few years back. It has Florence lights in the back of each cage. Also UTH's for heat. I have indoor/ outdoor thermometers inside each cage. I will be switching to a temp gun soon. Also heat is run by a Helix. These are vision 221s, The next I will be getting ready my four footers. They are also in a setup like this. One question, I have read on here that the females should have more room if you can provide it. So should I give the females the four footers?
Thanks
Tom S.
Here is a picture of the 221s

You built this yourself? Wow, good job! The only thing I know about what cages to give the males or females is heat rises, so it would probably be better to put the males in the lower cages and the females in the upper cages.

Thanks Bob. What I was talking about, was were to put the females, I have four footers too. These are 28x22x12 the four footers are 48x26x14. Should the females go in the four footers. I will post a picture of the four foot system when I clean it all up.
Thanks again for looking.

I'd suggest you put the most active snakes of whatever gender in the bigger cages. Then I'd have you come over to my place and build a setup for me! LOL!

I due live in Nevada Bob. LOL I have kings and Milks now. Just so you know I am not a carpenter. All I did was design the unit with a 4x8 sheet of plywood in mind. I wanted to use the most out of each sheet plus with the fewest cuts per sheet, then I went to home depot and slip the guy 10 bucks to cut it for me. LOL I asked him to try and get as close to the measurements as he could. And then I went home and put it together. When I put it together I was out front of my apartment at the time and everyone was asking me what it was for and I told them it was for big books. LOL.

Ha ha! J/k of course. Very nice idea for cages like that. Much easier to service each cage in terms of heating when they are not stacked. What is the material of the walls?

3/4 inch plywood. And trust me that mother is heavy. I just brought home the 4 footers from storage, and that thing is very heavy. I think I have a hernia now. LOL. I built them heavy so if the snakes were to hang on the side of the cage would not move. each cage is held on by two bolts one on each side.
Thanks for looking.
