LMAO!!!
I love your very scientific commentary; " some type of weird..." Priceless! You should post these at that snooty Field Herps site!

And you are very brave to catch that alligator! What if it's mama had caught you!

I got a rasher of shinola from some people there about my cats killing reptiles. Like I don't do my best to prevent my cats from killing things. Still rankles. Ah, well..

hahahaha!!!!!! Great story huh?!!! Sorry but I'm about to ruin it for you. I didn't actually jump in and catch the one I was holding. Some lady running a tourist trap outside the Everglades Ntnl Park, had a whole bunch on display...so I asked her if I could hold it and she said yes.

Bob, did you really think I jumped in to some murky water, in Florida, with a club, to knock out and catch an 10' alligator?

I did see several wild ones in a canal though...but unfortunately no snakes.

Those are Bahaman Anoles......
We have them here in South Texas now as well.....
Some striped some with those zig zags.....
I have a pair....LOL

Ahhhh, I see. So they're another non-native reptilian creature, thriving in my now-favorite state of Florida? Very nice indeed.

Thanks John. And btw, I made a stop in Houston on my way back.

Now what kind of snake was that?

Those were cool pics Micah! I have those grasshoppers in my yard and no lizard I ever had, would eat them, lol.

Here's a red anole that I caught, but i lost my balance and put too much weight on it. I was gonna try to set up a breeding tank for red anoles. This was the reddest one I've seen in a long time. Was...

It didn't go to waste though!

Wow, that guy's RED man. So you killed him, huh? Well let's just clear the air right now, it was totally your fault and not the animal's. LOL!!!

Nice pic anyway!

a153fish Apr 26, 2011 07:15 PM

I blame the lizard 10%, for being so red! If it weren't so red I would not have tried to catch it

Cool pics!

But the white bird is actually an Egret, not a "herring". I think you meant to say "Heron", but it's not one of those..

These are herring..
