I have four Corns, a Glossy and a huge Mexican Black King... and now I have my first BP. It is gorgeous. I got it today. I saw it when I stopped in the feedstore to get some bran for my horses. It had only been there about two weeks. It looked to be about 18 months old. I asked the employee if it was calm. He took it out and it was calm. I asked if it was clean. He was checked, including his mouth, and all seemed hunky dory. I asked it it ate ok, and he said that it wasn't that good of an eater and that he had put a small rat in for about two or three days and it it didn't touch it. I asked him to try a small adult mouse and it took in instantly.... and another. When I got it home it still seemed hungry so I gave it two small weaners. He took them all eagerly... but I quit after giving him one more adult. My question is... was that too much to feed it, and is it ok to just feed mice since I raise only mice and can give it several at a feeding.
I'm so tickled to now own a BP...
