Beautiful nominate triangulum, Joe! Those MD critters a few of you guys are working with are real lookers.
Any word on the possible relocation?
-Cole
Thanks Cole. I really like them. I caught and released some very nice ones this year as well.
Very crisp, clean color and pattern on those guys Joe....excellent!

Thanks Doug. This localilty seems to hold it's color and clean backround better than most other Ltt I have seen. They are not so easy to locate though!! LOL
Nice easterns Joe! Is there any coastal influence in the area around you? The second one looks like it may have a little.

Joe
Joe, I have had that discussion with a few guys on here and it's up for debate. I would say probably, seeing that their known range extends to within a forty minute drive from here. But who knows. I have seen several from my area that could come close to passing as a temporalis and have found several colar necks. (not meaning anything by itself, but with blotches nearing the belly and all maybe it does)
Nice red saddles Joe.
Joe about how long to you spend cleaning and how often during peak season like now?

Doug, it would be hard to say for me. I am retired and spend WAY too much time in my snake room. I spot check all of my cages every day and clean water bowls, cages, ect. all the time. Once in a while I will just go through all of them at once and it takes me about 90 minutes or so unless I am changing out the substrate.
Doug - what locale is that pair?
when I used newspaper it took me forever to clean...had to switch too aspen when the collection got bigger...

Dave those two were from Putnam Co. NY

wow, those are all very nice. Shame that beauty queen didn't eat for you. she was smokin. How bout that pair at the end you hope to breed - locality?
Dave
very nice Joe! That snake in the first pic looks like it has a reddish/orangish hint to its background color? is that true or just the photo or just me being crazy?
Very nice. Glad we're both working with this locality!
Dave

Ah, there's that handsome LTT devil!! He looks great Dave! Yeah, that adult male in the first photo is a neat animal. He actually has a peach colored stripe running down the top of his back. Never seen one like him before. The others are typical of our MD locale we share. I can't wait for your eggs to hatch and see what pops out!!
Joe
Really nice Joe. Those are the milks of my youth. Odd how after a period the all but disappeared from many areas.

Tony, they seem to found in "pockets" now. I have lived in MD most of my life and have only located these pockets in the last ten years. I know in some states they are easy to locate, but in MD they are becoming very hard to find, especially in my county. Some of my areas are being perk tested right now. Not good.
That would indicate you're finding them in fields. We used to find them in forested habitat in Baltimore County.

Actually, a little of both Tony. But both are also disappearing at an alarming rate!! Most is on private property, but the folks are selling it off and getting out of town. Can't blame them.
Joe
Nice looking t. triangulum Joe. You should take a few more photos while spot cleaning your tubs. It'd be nice to see more of your animals.
