WEIRD BREEDING SEASON?

JPCONS Apr 29, 2011 06:23 PM

Just looking for some input on how every ones breeding season is going?? I live on the northwest coast and to put it lightly its been wierd.
I don't no if the weather has anything to do with it or not. I usually have a couple litters on the ground by now. It seems the girls went later then normal and even had a couple girls ovulate
months after the male was pulled. I have girls that swelled and got large and then nothing.
The next due date is 06-06-2011. hope she is going to give a healthy litter.
Any and all input would be appriciated.

I kind of had a late start to this season but had plenty of activity February-April 1st. I have my first potentially gravid female due 6/15 and possibly a couple more due into late july. The first female went through all the motions, had her ovulation and shed dates line up. The second had a male in with heavy activity, then he lost interest so I pulled him, then she ovulated and POS shed a couple weeks later without him. Then the third had heavy activity went through one swell, shed, but the male kept breeding so I left him in, then she swelled again and the male lost interest and for whatever reason she never gave me a POS.

So in summary, yes, weird and late for me, but I assume that is partly my fault since I decided to introduce pairs so late this year...
