Pastel founders

These are a couple farmed boas I picked up and will be raising to found a new line of pastel, they also have some nice swiss cheese saddles on them. Can't wait to see how these colors develop as they grow, they are only a couple months old right now.

Alberto,
Those are some very colorful and pretty boas, but I'm not sure that they meet the definition of pastel which includes reduced black in the side badges.

From those pictures it appears like the animals have a very normal amount of dark/black coloration in the side badges. I acknowledge that it could simply be a picture issue and that in real life, they are pastels.

Good luck with your project. It looks like a good one regardless of whether they are, or are not pastels.

What's written above is purely my opinion. In fact, MOST of what you read on the internet is someone's opinion. Don't take it too seriously

These boas are both females, the plan is to breed an existing line pastel to these to help bring out even more color and also clean them up in the process. Basically I am hoping to line breed the color from these guys and clean the line up with a different line pastel in the process. So I agree, I would not sell these as pastel, but I think they certainly have a lot of potential to found a new line for myself.

Thanks for the comment.

Wow this boa must have read your comment and got in line last night lol. Apparently she was deep in shed and took her skin off last night after I took those pics. She lightened up quite a bit.
