Dmong I blame you!

LOL!! After drooling over Doug's OBX I had to do it. My buddy offered to let me pick through his juveniles and take the pair I wanted. I think this female should spec up nice. Maybe not like Doug's, but still should be a good one in the future.

Here is a gravid Charles Co. MD girl....

And another horrible photo job to add, but my VA beach beauty--

Very nice! Yeah, Doug's snakes got me hooked on them too.

Wow Joe, that is a nice OBX pair dude!. And yes, they will both speckle-up a lot more between their dark interbands, guaranteed!

I really like the phenotype yours have too, in that the light cross-bands only go across the top and stop, and don't form a more mainland getula "chain-like" pattern down the sides.

Excellent Eastern there too man!. Best of luck with all of them Joe!..

Thanks a lot Doug! Yeah, the clutch mine came from also produced a real crazy pattern one. He said she was off limits though! These OBX are super chow hounds too! Don't think the will take long to get up to size.

DMong May 03, 2011 12:51 AM

That's great that they are already well established yearlings and are eating like gangbusters. Although mine were plenty big enough last year, they didn't quite manage to breed for me their second year. They never got their interest in each other quite syncronized at the exact same time, then the male fizzled-out and lost interest while the female sat there with her freakin tail up..LOL!. This year looks to be different though thankfully..

Congrats again on those guys, those are definitely nice "real-deals" there bro!

Nice acquisitions. Should grow into some magnificent adults.

Thanks Dennis. Both are actually the female. The male was/is in shed. He is not as speckled but pretty too.

I hope to be able to score some this year also Joe. Those are sweet, good luck with them. Also, that Va Beach is smoking too.

Thanks Jorge!! The OBX are super cool snakes. Hope you get some good ones yourself! The Va Beach girl is my favorite looking eastern king I have. That photo sucks, as you can see, because she looks much better in person. Oh well---you get the idea!

I always like seeing the outer banks kings. Great looking snakes there.

joecop May 03, 2011 03:30 PM

Thanks Ross. Doug's are insane looking, as is the mother of the ones I got from my buddy. I just could not take it any longer and had to get some. LOL.

RossCA May 03, 2011 11:20 PM

I don't blame you, I'd love to get some my self. I hope they turn out just as nice for you. Keep us updated.
