pic of my ghetto incubator

jmdexotics May 03, 2011 03:04 PM

I am very proud of my ghetto incubators it does what it needs to do. Just wanted to see how many of you out there are willing to post pics of your ghetto incubators (lol). Or even a more homemade professional incubators so we can compare, but if it does what it needs to do don't knock it...
The cooler is my colubid incubator and the melamine box underneath it is my ball python incubator. The eggs im waiting for to hatch are spiders. So lets see what you got...
from fish tanks with glass cover, refidgerators that we're altered just curious to see what the average breeders are using for their incubators..
Thanx

Captive hatched male YB, and I am not 100% sure she's a normal.
She's also a CH female. I'm hoping she proves out. She laid 5 eggs.

I admire your ingenuity. I believe that would be called a "ghettobator". I would know as I have a "ghettoputer" and "ghettophones" both of which are held together with rubber bands. Nice work!

here is my fridge-a-bator. Took a midsized fridge and removed the freezer/fridge divider and added a sub-floor. I then placed 2 light fixtures in sequence that are plugged directly into a helix. There is a hole in the back corner of the sub-floor with a fan blowing the warm air into the egg chamber and another fan on the top. the incubator maintains +- 0.5 degree from top to bottom.
