hypo het lavender with eggs

DMong May 03, 2011 04:51 PM

There is 16 or 17 good looking eggs in this clutch, with only one infertile dud. She has another one still in her.

I hope she passes the last one okay, because it is pretty far up her body still. I will check on her periodically to see how she does with it. You can plainly see the one dud towards the lower portion of the photo.

Statistically, half the clutch will be hypo lavenders/poss. het anery, and half will be hypo/100% het lavenders/poss. het anery.

Nice clutch.
Beautiful hypo.
Would you double clutch a female that size?
Good luck on the odds.

Thanks!

Well, if they can get very good body weight back on, it usually isn't too much of a problem, but ONLY if they can get very good and plump again within the breeding season, and of course only if they laid the previous clutch without any problems.

I actually don't plan on even giving double-clutching her a second thought though, as I don't need(or want) to be overrun with these when I have so many other milk, kingsnake and ratsnake projects on the front burner that I also have to think about..
