Red Axanthics

Seeves1982 May 03, 2011 05:24 PM

I was never really interested in Red Axanthics. Usually all I've ever seen were Het Red Axanthics or (Black Backs) and to be honest I actually wondered if the super form ever really made anything. (as I said I was never really interested in them) Anyway I was bored at work and did a little picture searching and Red axanthics actually look pretty nice. Can anyone tell me does the Red Axanthic brown out as it gets older or does it hold it's color better than a true axanthic (VPI)

Thanks,
Mike

From what I have read, red axanthics are born looking like the other axanthics and then turn to a reddish color. I have a female and her offspring that I suspect to be Het Reds (the female belongs to a friend, I have her in a "breeding loan"

They are nicer when they grow.

Combos are pretty impressive too.

Take a look at Corey Woods stock, the het red and reds comes from him.
