Rainer Mike didn't have any locality info, but they don't have any hets that we are aware of. I like the other female even more than this one, but both are gorgeous, and so is the male.

Jeff who? These were from Mike Russo, and have bred for him successfully for him before. I still have the second female which bred to a Mike's male. I have a feeling they will have better results.

Looks like only 5 decent looking eggs. There was a mass of slugs after I awoke from a long nap. I saw them hooked on at least 2 separate occassions, not sure what happened? I counted about 10 slugs. It was the males first breeding so maybe that's it. Still if the 5 are good, I'll be satisfied.

Ok, what's going on here....I think I've been jinxed. All this talk about bad clutches, and now this is what I come home to. Only 1 good egg out of a massive clutch of................ Drum rollplease......................................................................................................................5.

well at least there's one good egg.

a153fish May 05, 2011 10:37 PM

Sorry to hear that Micah. So far this year is not going so well, for some of us. I have hopes still, that was just my first clutch. I hope you do better with your others, and your right, one is better than none!

That sucks!, but at least the others look perfectly good Jorge. I had a big Hondo lay an entire clutch of those nasty looking "water ballons" last year, so don't feel too bad..LOL!

Yaeh water baloons is a good description, lol. What a mess! It's too soon to know if the cinco in mayo are good, but I would be really happy with even five bro! I'll try my other big male for a second clutch and see what happens too, but this male has sulfur in him, and I had high hopes.

Very cool. The eggs that look like they leaked, did they leak before or after they came out? Just trying to learn more.
Thanks Jorge
