Some questions on isolation.

addam4208283 Sep 29, 2003 10:44 AM

I just wanted to know how you guys set up your enclosures for
isolation? When you put the frogs into the shoe box type plastic
containers do you have a sticky heating pad on the back or/
Do you just place the whole container on a regular heating pad?
That someone would use for everyday use? Also for lighting is it
enough to just have the light from the room to light up the container
Or is a separate light needed?

thanks in advance.

It is good to ahve some type of lighting on your cage for a few reasons.

1.) a small amount of UV is recommended ( and debated) no higher than 2%. A regular fish light would work ok too (Something that will give plants in your vivarium the photosynthetic light they need). Something just for viewing is good too.
