Most common plants for a WTF's vivarium

dubumb Sep 29, 2003 10:49 AM

Hi,

Im looking for a good list of common plants that would be ideal for planting in my wtfs' vivarium. I've seen non-toxic lists all over, but i know nothing about plants and since the lists are so extensive I do not know the availiblity of them...

Thanks.

depends on how humid your vivarium is and some other factors that would determine how well your plants grow. best place ive seen is melissa kaplans list http://www.anapsid.org/mainplants.html
she has a great website. good luck with that

as the person who post before me said, it really does depend on alot of factors. what lighting are you using?? flurescent plant grow tubes are the best for growing vivarium plants. what kinda set-up do you have??? is it a false bottom with water running underneath the substrate? or do you have a seperate water area? because you have WTF's your humidity should be around 40-60%, which is fine for the plants.

some good plant for WTF's are:
-aspidistra
-monstera delicousa
-pothos
-SOME species of philodendron
-bird nest fern
-sanseveria(i think thats how you spell it!!??)
etc
