hi, can i put BACTER PLUS which is a "BENEFICIAL BACTERIAL STRAINS PLUS NITRIFIERS FOR AMMONIA AND QUALITY WATER CONTROL" in the water that my turtles live in? it says good for aquariums and fish but nothing about other animals. if not is there anything safe for the turtles that will help keep my water clean and get the green out?

I put some in my tanks recently and it did absolutely nothing to help its bacterial cycle.
Think about it...how long do you think that bacteria can live in the bottle? and at what temps? It's most likely that the stuff works fine if you get it "fresh" but after it gets shipped across the country, exposed to all the weather, and then sits on a shelf in the store for months that it is all dead.

I know squat about turtlekeeping (But I'm trying)but bacteria keep very well in sealed liquid containers, or even dry. Bacteria go dormant as soon as food is exhausted or form spores, depending on type.
Could it be that you turtles require a larger biofilter setup than you had?

doubtful, since I had a 5 gallon filter with 3 gallons of bio balls.
