Those are some sweet assortments of Cal. king phenotypes John!. Ya know,...most people in the general public that don't know much about the wide variation they can display would never imagine in their wildest dreams that all of those are the very same subspecies of snake..LOL!

.....great examples!

Thanks for the compliments Doug...I wish I still had these gems.....
Yep....they were one of the first "morph" kings.......I love their variability.....
And as I mentioned above.....I am really thinking of getting some again......I need to talk to Mr. Ross this Summer....LOL

California, Alterna and Emoryi were my first successful breeding attempts.......later came the Mexicana.....

For some reason I am still interested in California kings.....and getula seem so much easier than Mexicana and Mountain Kings.....on many aspects......

I really like the looks of Nitida, Conjuncta, Yumanesis and Elfin Forest Blue Eyed Blondes......and lots of others...LOL

Things in this hobby do come in full circle, eh?

ME TOO!!,.......NOTHING on this green earth is more bothersome and irritating to me than hearing that cancerous garbage BS thumping down the road for blocks on end. The mere sound of that garbage instantly makes my freakin BLOOD BOIL!!!..

And of course, a king to keep it in theme..LOL!

I remember those Aberrant black and whites John!!!! If you remember i tried to get you to let loose of them!!! We do come full circle. First snakes to breed for me were WC Californias in 1970, 71 and 72. (Were you alive then????) I caught them in San Diego county, Riverside County and Orange County. Funny, now I am in Texas and I have 3.4 with various patterns. And I expect to obtain more this season. I love 'em!!!!

Yep...I remember Pat......I also remember that you REALLY liked that wide striped male....

I had an entire clutch one year that had the "aztec" pattern...some were half striped and half banded....I miss the fun and unpredictability with them........

BTW...I was born in 1971 Pat....LOL

Those are very nice, John. I've got rid of a few Cal kings over the years I wish I would have held on to.

Thanks Ross......
I wish I still had these too......

Good thing Calkings are rather affordable animals....
I really enjoy their unpredictable variability when eggs are hatching......Unless of course one is breeding locality animals.......
