"Please, forgive me if these seem like stupid questions.I know jack about cornsnakes.#1.Does this (not so good) photo look like a bloodred out-cross,(crossed with "normal"? #2.Is a blood a cornsnake or some-other rat snake subspieces?"
Not a stupid question at all really.
Well, it could very easily be an outcrossed bloodred corn, but with all the zillions of corn morph combinations that are produced nowdays, it is virtually impossible to say what the EXACT genotype/phenotype is though without knowing for certain what specific genetics the parents came from and so on.
It is pretty red, and I see some substantial diffusion on the sides too. Also there is a bit of motley-type patterning going on on the upper third of the snake too, and all of those traits tend to greatly mute the checkering on the belly too to where it is non-existent.
Also, bloodred corns where indeed originally 100% genuine cornsnakes that came from Hastings, Florida. The Love's subsequently aacquired some and coined the term "bloodred" to them.
