Madrid (Reuters): Deportivo Coruna defender Enrique Romero spent the night in hospital after being bitten by a snake at an airport on his way to a league game, Spanish media reported on Saturday.
Deportivo players noticed the snake on the tarmac at the airport in Pamplona after arriving on Friday, ahead of this weekend’s Spanish First Division game against Osasuna.
According to reports, Romero was bitten on the hand after approaching the snake and had to be taken to hospital, where he was kept in overnight as a precaution.
