jungle boa?

demonmyst May 11, 2011 05:37 PM

This boa was sold to me as a jungle boa. Is there anyway to tell if that is what she is? Here is a pic.

not a real high expression, but by the color and what i can see of the tail...ide say it very well could be. better pics of the tail and eyes would help be more sure...

Definitely a jungle and a nice one at that. Nice pick up!

Thank you I am very happy about this one its the "t albino" that I have. I am not sure if she is one or not so thats the one im worried about.

LarM May 11, 2011 08:21 PM

What does T Albino have to do with that Boa being Jungle or not ?

It's not a T albino it';s only a Jungle so I'm confused !

Hey Lar, I think he's referring to a post he has below titled boahelp!?

In that post he has a picture of a boa and questioning weather it's a t pos or not. I don't have a lot of experience with any line of t pos but it doesn't look like any I've seen.

thx I missed that Boa Help post all together.

I will respond to it now !

This Boa has a certain T pos type look to her

see my post below in response to the original "Boa Help" post

Yeah that is the post I am referring to. Reworded it wrong. I got the snakes from the same guy. Still kind of new to boa morphs and it's hard to trust people. You try and look up before, but when you get in person with the snake infront of you, you want it.

Appears to be a Jungle, the color the tail blotches and borders of
the trail the head spear, all say Jungle to me.

A Few nicer images would be helpful but I'm fairly
certain it's a Jungle

Yeah, I was pretty positive with research and stuff. The color is easy to distinguish. Why is her pattern so "normal" compared to other jungles? Any idea? She's also supposed to be het anery. (respectable breeder)

LarM May 11, 2011 10:59 PM

There alot of Jungle that do not have particularly crazy patterns
but the color and other details define them as clear Jungles.

We all are not entirely certain why some Jungles are extremely crazy aberrant
while others are more of a normal looking pattern.

Less extreme Jungles from good tend to be the more colorful
Jungles from those litters.

Thanks a lot! I personally like the extreme ones better, but the color of this one is pretty flawless. Does it have a possibility of dropping "extreme"? I need to breed it to an Anery then right? Since it's het anery...and if they have the extreme patterns....:O!

LarM May 12, 2011 01:00 AM

Yes breed it to a very nice Anery or het Anery and you should
produce some Anery Jungle Boas
