Hey everyone, as a former keeper at silver springs who has been in on a capture of sobek, I can assure you he is very VERY large. We did measure him, and if I remember correctly came out to 16 feet 6 inches, and sitting on his back, I have never felt scoots as large as his, he is immense! It took a bunch of people to pull him up out of the water. If I can find it, I have a tape of us catching him, I can try to copy it for some of you guys, it also has a siamese croc capture on it, as well as me moving some american crocs for wootens, and some footage of steve erwin working sobek and big al. If anyone knows how to get the video over to a digital copy, ie avi file or mpg or something let me know and I would be more than happy to send a copy to you so you can do it for me, I have had a few requests and think it would be easier to post it somewhere on the net for you guys to download.

Now theres a place i havent been to in about 20 years.Are they still in the Everglades?My uncle used to live about 2 minutes from them.He used to know the guy that run it real well but like i said i havent been there in quite some time.Speaking of the Everglades,Do they still hold the Crab festival in Everglades City?Thats another thing i havent been to since i was about 7 or 8 yrs. old so that was 22 yrs ago.Man time flies when you get out of high school.Never been to Silver Springs but always wanted to go.Maybe i'll get a chance before i get to old.Regards Bill Mcleod
