what kind?

Got this guy at the local pet store.
He has ruby eyes and checkered underside.

My first guess would be lavender.

Yes, like the others said, it looks to be either a lavender, or a hypo lavender. It is virtually impossible to tell the difference between a very light lavender, and a darker hypo lavender by mere sight alone, and of couse camera settings and lighting can have an aweful lot to do with how it looks too. It would have to be test-bred to prove or disprove either trait.

It certainly does seem to display the lavender gene very nicely I must say..
