V. Auffenbergi help

I currently have one peacock monitor housed in a 40gal breeder. The substrate is Eco- earth, coconut husk fiber, and repti bark mix. I replaced the screen top with a plywood cover. Humidity is around 60% basking temp is 115-120 range, ambient temp is in the low 80's. Eats crickets and dubias regularly. Several branches for climbing as well as a cave on the floor. Does this sound like an ideal setup or did I miss something?

Thanks,

Matt

Provide several tight fitting cork tubes at different places in the cage. One should be near the basking spot and one on the cool side. They like to take refuge in such tubes. Being a shy species the tubes will help them feel more secure. Also adding some oak leaves over the top of your substrate will give the lizard something to forage in.

That's all fine, but my biggest concerns are the basking temp and the humidity.

Thanks,

Matt
