I have to agree with Joe, that first animal is simply sick! I love the contrast. Great Basins are the sweetest subspecies in my opinion, and your photo demonstrates why. Here's a pic of an animal I found a while back in the Mojave.

Maybe you should have kept it,But hey at least you know theres got to be stunner's in the area/locale and your pics are excellent examples for sure.This is perhaps incentive for a return visit being on the cards?

That first one is beautiful...

Kind of reminds me of a Thayeri with the thin black bands back by it's tail. Awesome!!!!!
