My collection is increasing weekly and alot of them are coming basically free or trade for some of my baby corns which I hatched and did not buy so no money out of pocket there either. this week I acquired a juvenile gopher snake from a local pet store, and a 6 ft pine snake came to me via craigslist.
this is my fourth gopher snake,
albino sonoran
albino san diego
normal sonoran
and now this one compared to my normal sonoran which has a very light grayish tan base with black spots and sharp black markes right behind the head, this one is almost olive greenish tan, with brown side spots with no dark marks behind the head, and almost chestnut dorsal spots that run along a slightly darker than base dorsal stripe. I would like to find a website where I can try to ID it because my camera really yellows up pictures when I try and post them.
the pine snake is a beauty, she has an almost all black first 1/4 with speckling on the face and a light throat the last 3/4 of her is kind of tan with pink and orange highlights and large black spots. I was thinking probably a northern pine though she bears a striking resemblance to a picture online of a Louisiana Pine snake. I will try to get pictures posted but again they will have a yellow wash.
