Try doing a search on the forum archives--a few years ago there were a lot of photos of people's custom cages and even cage plans. Most using melamine and screen or glass--I remember the under $50 cage plan posted around 2001 (build yourself from home depot).

Here's a pic of my adult's cage. This is a 4x4x2... cost around $60 including the small flood lights. The screen vent is at the bottom so the cage holds heat very well. I've added some silk ivy to hold moisture since this pic was taken.

For younger frilleds, you'll need a 20-40 gal. to start with. They like to climb, so they need a few larger branches and a large water dish to lay in. i also recommend a moist substrate like zoomed ecoearth.

Well, I didn't really go the cheap route. I got mine from Cages by Design. That's one of the ads that keep coming up in the forum. Heck, it's probably up there right now^. But it was about $300 and it's all metal and plexiglass. Front slides like a display case. Top is heavy guage stainless steel mesh. Can't remember the dimensions but it's about 5x2x3 feet I think and just over 100 gallons. My frillie is young in that picture but you get the idea.
