have digested dr.sewards wonderfull site but always looking for alternate ways of how other people keep feed baby gilas.any sites or opinions on how to house and feed neonate gilas??
I use pretty much the same setup as the Dr. Seward. Except I house mine in a larger cage. I also provide a water dish large enough for hime to soak in. And I feed him one or two small mice/rats every forth or fith day.

There is nothing to live for, unless there is something more important to die for.
Our babies start off in 3' neodeshas before moving to their permanent enclosures which measure 5' x 3' x 2' complete with heat panel, full spectrum uv light, natural soil/sand substrate, burrows, natural plants and a large shallow water pan that they soak in daily. Food consists of appropriate sized mice, rats and quail (twice a week for youngsters, once a week for mature adults and sometimes only every other week to prevent obesity) along with weekly vitamin supplementation of RepCal and Herptivite. Our gilas have done very, very well on this regimen.
