Motleys Het VPI T litter with Surprise

LucasMatlock May 20, 2011 10:00 PM

What an exciting day for me it has been. I went out to say goodnight to my babies from my first litter this morning and this is what i found. My Pastel Motley was bred by my Double Douse Pink Panther and tonight she had her litter a little early. The results 4 het Ts, 6 Motleys het T, yes the surprise 1 Super Motley het T and 8 slugs.

Thanks for looking

If the female parent was a mot and a supermot baby is born would that not mean it is a partho baby or was the female in with some sort of mot earlier and had retained sperm? Can a super mot be produced with a mot male and a not mot female???

The female was a first time mom and has never seen another male. I plan on sending the sheds to Dr Warren Booth so that he can determine what happened. If anyone can figure it out it is him. Thanks for the comments and taken a look

That's crazy! How did the Super Motley come about? Can't wait to see some pictures of it out of the sack! Congrats on a great litter and good luck with the Super!!!

Thank you all for the comments. I will post more and hopefully better pictures after they shed. I have one of those fancy cameras so i just signed up for a class to teach me how to use it

The black boa "Super Motley" is a female and appears to be doing fine at this time
