Hi everyone, I've been following this board for a while now, but it's my first time posting. We've been having some nice weather lately, so I decided to get some pics of my boas outside. I haven't quite figured out how to produce accurate indoor lighting for these guys yet, but still trying.

I picked up one pair in 2009 from Dave Colling, and this is Rorschach, the male:

And this is Aurora, the female. I must admit I really like her bright tangerine crescents.

And below is my 2010 pair, also from Dave. This is the male, Cerberus:

And the female, Chimera:

Thanks for looking!

-Dustin

Dustin,
...Really great looking BRBs. Easy way to get better Rainbow Boa color representation with indoor photography is to use GE Reveal 100 watt bulbs. Try turning off the flash and setting the snake 2 to 4 feet below the bulb, even better to use multiple bulbs to reduce shadows, and the color is almost as true as outdoor shots. If you like the results get a bunch of the Reveal bulbs. I think the governement is going to make it difficult for us to buy regular light bulbs soon.

Agreed, my overhead track light in the BRB room has GE reveal bulbs, really helps bring out the color. I did find that using all GE reveal was too much so I mixed in a few regular bulbs for contrast.

Hm, I'll have to try that. I have tried a bunch of different bulbs, mixing incandescent with fluorescent, using bulbs with different color temperatures, but nothing has worked too well yet. I really enjoy photography, just don't have too much technical knowledge on the subject. I'll have to try the reveals. Thanks for the tip!
