All normal looking, possibly resembling their father - whichever one you choose to breed her with - but most likely not. The babies will be 50% possible het-albino, meaning that each egg has a 50% chance of being het-albino, but all the babies will look normal and you will not be able to tell which ones are het-albino.

To produce albinos you'll have to raise all the babies and breed a male back to the original het. From there you could get some albinos, in a couple of years.

If you had a male het-albino, you'd have better chances since you could breed him to several females, then to several of his 50% poss het-albino offspring.

They are cheap now and for the price of one, you could actually get albinos. I mean, spend $200 now and have a clutch worth around $5,000 (from het x het), or breed your het albino female to a bunch of normal males and have your clutch worth $500. Do the math. What do you think is more profitable? The female het albino you have is your biggest investment. Its like signing Wayne Gretzky in his prime and putting him on the bench. What's the point?

Maybe he's not in it for the money but for the fun and excitement?? Maybe...

What's more fun, hatching normals and possible hets, or possible hets and albinos? What's the difference? I don't care if he's not into it for the money. Lots of people aren't. Fact is, for a TINY investment, he could be realizing his dream of hatching albinos rather than waiting a year.

But thanks for adding jack to the discussion. Mucho appreciated.

Hey Joels – Who knew that you weren’t really supposed to answer that question? Who knew that by expressing YOUR opinion you were “adding jack to the discussion”? Who knew the poor guy needed to “do the math” and go buy another snake? Who would have thought that not all Canadians were polite? And what’s a Wayne Gretzky, anyway? One of those really expensive morphs?

Thanks Joan, Don't worry that post just made me laugh about his thoughts on the hobby.

He never asked how to make money faster, he never asked how he could get an albino, he simply asked what the outcome would be of breeding his snakes. Which would be possible hets, simple.

I guess if you can afford the het albino female you can do with it as you please and aren't under any obligation to produce something interesting with it but it still seems a little wasteful somehow to breed it to a normal male. Especially when a het male would cost so much less than the female and there would also be plenty of people willing to do a breeding loan pairing her up with something more genetically exciting.

hi all thank you all for your help and thourghts.
i am doing it for the fun of the hobby if im lucky enough to breed her.
i see the point of its a waste of a het female but i was very lucky got her and a normal male for 100 pounds because thay were not feeding but thay are both fine now and she is 3 and half foot long now so i have not spent any money relly i will keep my eyes open for a het male for her but its not for the money it would be nice to breed my snakes.

Sounds great ehunter, I am sure you can find a healthy male to sire your female when the time comes.

Good Luck!
