crusted eyes

htoole Sep 29, 2003 03:34 PM

ive got a pair of otherwise healthy collareds that theyre eyes keep crusting shut. its on both of them, and usually only one eye each. i clean the eye with saline and its fine for a day or two. they have adequate lighting, heat, food (dusted crickets and meal worms)their vision seems fine, no damage to the eye.

...I heard *somewhere* that certain mites tend to go for the eyes.

...photos, and that "bulge" of flabby deposits just behind the antehumeral mite pocket seems to be present in quite a few CB collareds of both sexes, to various degrees. It seems to need a name; If you research and describe it anatomically, you might get to name them "The Right and Left Johnezoid Reservoirs" or something LOL. I move we start calling them that just to have an ordered convention for referring to them. Who knows, they might become as popular as vent pics.
