GA Eastern King -- my version

hogheaven Sep 29, 2003 03:35 PM

I get jealous when I see guys posting beautiful eastern kings that were originally from my south GA stock. I produced far too many baby eastern kings during the past 12 years to raise up many offspring to breed back to each other, so I haven't produced many babies that are extravagant looking, like some of Will Still's. However, here's the baby that Keith was referring to. I don't know what happened to the hundreds of baby easterns I've sold; I don't see many of their offspring at reptile shows.

I didn't see the pic you're talking about, but the ones I got from you (two weeks ago) are awesome animals and exactly what I wanted. And they will not be bred with anything else, because I like them just the way they are. (Not to offend anyone else, just personal preference).

Thanks for posting the picture, Keith. For some reason, I have a lot of problems posting pictures on this website. I'm glad Zee is going to keep the strain pure and not breed it with some other subspecies. As evidenced by some of the photos posted, easterns can produce some awesome-looking animals all by themselves.

Sweet king Kevin. Did I read correctly, this stunner was hatched from the original Statenville male bred to one of his daughters? How were the colors and patterns in the sibs?

We've all got you to thank for harnessing these genetics, and I think we certainly have a lot of work to do with this line in the future. I know I'll definately be breeding this strain true. Good work Dude.

Kevin..... thats a great looking chain.I am a good friend of Will Still, and I have been lucky enough to have seen every chain he has hatched. I have a trio from him that should breed this coming season. I cant wait to hatch out some of my own awesome chains. Ken
