When they are growing....up to 18 months.....they get all the greens and veggies they want and all the protein they want in 10-15 minutes when fed , keeping in mind that as they grow they feeding times decrease....ie hatchlings are fed 3-5 times a day....juvies 2 times a day.....sub-adults 1 time a day and over 12 months every other day until 18 months then 2 times per week.....after 18 months I limit their bug intake to avoid fatty live disease but of course they still get all the greens and veggies they want.

its really up to the keeper, some do say that its better for a dragon to grow slowly, hence monitoring what they are eating and limiting the intake. and then some beleive that babies really need that fuel to grow properly and free feed crickets and proteins, which is what i do. its all up to the keeper, i beleive for babies and juvis as much protein as they can eat in 10 mins 3 times a day is what they get and that they really need and use the fuel from those foods to grow strong. they seem to grow steadily and put on good bulk at a young age, nice tail base, thick legs and forming fat pads on the head. things like crickets i feel are fine to feed like this, but other feeders like waxies which are very high in fat or worms with thick chitins definatly shouldnt be free fed to dragons at a young age, however crickets of the proper size should be fine.

I to am a power feeder (I think)...
I try to give them as much food as they can eat...but I mean I have had one beardie since mid july... and I have seen him down more than 80 crickets in one day... but then others he seems content with just a lil of this a lil of that... my other beardie wich I got like i think two weeks ago ( tops 3 weeks) is still a picky water... but recently I have seen him start eating more crickets (he is about 7-8 weeks old) and is in shed... so he is def going to step up on the food intake...
I am havin a tuff time getting either one onto the pellets... my lil one... isnt that into yet (he'll have one or two) bu the bigger one eats one day and the next totally disregards them.
I pretty much sprinkle them on the salads (soak them over night in gatorade) if I leave a l il dish with some dry ones in the enclosure all day long (dry) you think they will catch on to them?
just gotta keep pluggin away I guess...

thanks guys for ur replys...

>leave the salads with the soaked pellets in the enclosure all day long. im sure they will catch on.. have you tried some adult pellets along with the juvi ones? soak them very very well so they are spongy, my lil guy loves them and attacks the large ones taking giant bites out of them.. just a suggestion..some of them take to different things..try just soaking them in water, they may not like the gatorade.. ya never know.. i soak mine only in water, they are just fine with that and eat them up..
