Motley * Moonglow * Parents

0PARADOX0 May 29, 2011 04:39 PM

Here are pics of the parents to my Motley Moonglow litter. There have been people telling me there has to be a Jungle gene at work within their offspring and just as many people telling me that there definitely is NO Jungle gene going on. Mainly the people who produced the parents. The female is a Frank Martin Orangasm TH Moonglow that has bred previously and had no offspring that were out of the ordinary or unexpected. The father was produced by Guy Scavone II from a Motley father to a Snow female.
Feel free to comment and thanks for looking!! I will post pics of the babies once they shed!!

you are going to make us wait to see the moonglow motley?!

I posted pics of them ( there were actually two moonglows in that litter) further down the forum ( 2010 Season ends with a ...WHAAAA)

Since then, I have been getting a lot of messages, emails, texts, and calls from friends and snake lovers and breeders who have all had their feelings on whether or not these moonglows are , in fact, motleys or just a "crazy" patterned normal moonglow( from their VERY normal looking mother's side, the TH Moonglow side.) Thats why I have posted pics of their parents. To dispel the claim that there is a Jungle gene in there somewhere making these and the rest of the babies look as aberrant as they do.

I will post more pics of the "cooler" babies, including the moonglows, once they shed. It shouldn't be long as a lot of them are already in shed now. Until then, I am really trying to get as much information from others as well as share what I know so that I can figure out EXACTLY what is goin on with these babies' patterns and disprove the naysayers. I'm new to the forum and putting myself out there for criticism so I am just trying to do what I can to gain some "street cred" with the more knowledgeable people of this hobby ( as well as not make an ass out of myself, lmfao)

I hope this answers your question. Thanks for reading my post!!

cool, thanks for showing off the parents and Congrats on the litter, I was admiring the pics you had posted below.

I don't think there's any jungle in the mix, just normal aberrancies seen in boas.

Looking forward to the post-shed pics!

Thanks for your input! Yeah, it's been a crazy ride since all of these guys and girls came out!! As I have posted, neither of the producers of the parents claim a Jungle gene in them anywhere. With that said, I am excited that the litter has begun shedding and I will post pics once these two are done with theirs!! Thanks for the interest!!!!
