Hypo Everglades question...

BobS Jun 01, 2011 02:23 PM

I don't know anything about Hypo Everglades and I'm not looking to start a problem like happens all too often over on the Kingsnake side with us.

Were Hypo Everglades derived from someone finding a Hypo Everglades in the wild or was another type of Hypo Rat bred into the line for the trait?

Thanks, I'm hoping they are pure Everglades. You guys have posted enough awesome Ratsnakes here to get a poor Kingsnake guy thinking about Rats again. LOL

Bob.

Most of the hypo Everglades in the hobby originate way back to the late 80's, early 90's from Bill Love. They were very genuine back then. But as anyone knows, now days one has to be EXTRA careful as to what they acquire because of so many people crossing things these days.

I can't quite remember if Bill produced the first one's by chance, or captured the first one, then made hets, but they were indeed very genuine.

Maybe I will look into this soon.
