Mold on eggs

bisch07 Jun 04, 2011 07:12 PM

I have 13 bull snake eggs in the incubator, the incubator is the Accu-Temp 6000 Reptile Incubator - Digital Reptile Incubator. And the temp is a constant 80 degrees and 89% humidity, the vermiculite isnt dripping wet either but there is mold still growing on the eggs, I currently have athletes foot powder on them to help stop the growth. Can anyone offer any advice? thank you

Very interesting as I have the same problem with a clutch of 15 bullsnake eggs.
Something like five eggs have mold where they touch the vermiculite (ground)
I had it also last year but I think it was in a later stadium and I just wipped the eggs daily and they all hatched.
This year I decided to try something and I actualy put Daktarin powder on the place of the fungus after wipping of the fungus first.
I'm on day 2 now and I have the impression that things are improving.
