do umbrellas drink more?

i need to replace the second plant in my guys cage. i THINK i remember someone saying the umbrella plant drinks more then the ficus. is this correct and if not what does?

I've found that the umbrella plants do MUCH better than ficus. I don't know if this is due to them being able to handle the excessive water much better or just the anger of the Ficus gods at me personally. I usually have to trim the umbrella plant's every 3 months or so.

Dennis-

If you are having difficulties with your ficus trees being over watered, try pothos. There roots will not rot. If you want more of a tree then the Umbrella will also be a good choice. Hope this helps!
