Everyone is posting hatchling pics and I only just got my first ball clutch of the year... Feeling a bit behind here... But happy to finally have something in my incubator

Spider 66% poss het Hypo x HoneyBee.

This is her first year breeding so I was very pleased with a nice clutch of 5 eggs.

I'm trying out the light diffuser for the fist time this year. Seems so many people do it and have good luck. I had issues last year with eggs getting too wet so thought would be good to try out the diffuser. The dark specs on the eggs are just specs of sphagnum moss from her tub.

I really like the "style" of your post. I think ALL posts of baby balls should have a pic of the lock, the mom on eggs, the clutch of eggs by themselves, and the baby pics. Great idea.

Those eggs look great. I see more and more folks are using that light diffuser method these days. I guess if it allows them to remain humid and dry at the same time I'm all for it. Until a keeper gets the "feel" of what the right amount of moisture in the medium looks (feels) like, the potential for losing eggs is great. Most folks think that wetter is better, but in most cases, just the opposite is true - dry and humid.

Anyway, great job Lyn. A keeper with your work ethic and attention to detail deserves many perfect clutches like your first. Congrats.

Always hungry, my kind of Ball It was your gorgeous Blue Eyed Lucy that got me hooked on morph balls back in 2008, looking forward to making one of my own once this little dude grows up.
