Don't tell these guys it's too darn hot to be breeding! lol

I put this guy in about a week ago and man he doesn't like to waste time... This girl had no interest during the "season" and I figured she is just on a different timeline... It's just a sunglow x DH sunglow but I'm not complaining She is one of the nicest colored hypos I have so I'm excited to see her babies if she ends up swelling on me.

Fantastic! I was talking with a boa breeder friend recently and we discussed breeding "out of season". I figure I may just put my males with females all year since I have 6' vision cages to handle them and see what happens. I usually breed tortoises all year round so why not boas?

I think it is very possible to do out of season breeding. I think we are waaaaay too set on the whole season idea... I pair everyone who will breed in the normal season and this year, the females who did not have any interest, I am pairing out of season (this female is one of them). I think these females are just set to a different cycle and I just need to try them out until I find what time of year they like to go.
