I'm a newby to the pall python breeding realm, and just wanted to know the best "base" snakes to purchase and what sexes. So far I only have 1.0 pied (2010).
What's a good ratio of males to females to get started?

only buy and breed what YOU like. you have to look at them everyday. a pied is a great choice. pastels are better than normals to most but not all. normals are easier to sell. cheap though. dont breed for money, not gonna happen unless your very big or have alot of cash to start with. breed because you like it or in my case i breed because i like it and i want more females. and i have projects working towards snakes i cant afford.
not for money. ive broke even a few times but cant say ive ever come out ahead thats for sure.

When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car.
you have a male pied...so you want to buy 2 , 100% het for pied females...and start there...after you breed and know what you are doing....get what you want...
less snakes...better projects is better than hundreds of snakes of all morphs...
get what you like...
