First baby pine of 2011!

nodaksnakelover Jun 08, 2011 12:44 PM

I had a surprise waiting when I got home from work last night. The last egg of a clutch that was mostly infertile and candling showed the rest died early on in incubation. But this one looked promising and I held on. So he's a single baby but a very pretty one at that, and feisty!

So this is a pure Meltzer line baby. I'm guessing at best that it is a combination of both New Jersey counties in this baby as the grandmother on the one side is from a Burlington x Ocean Co. Whereas the rest of the pedigree is Ocean Co. ancestry. Anyhow, just had to share my good news!

He does look like a feisty little dude!
Better one than none.

Congrats. At least the one that survived is a beauty as stated. Very nice.
