What else do you breed?

JoshMolone Jun 08, 2011 05:31 PM

Other than Ball Pythons.

Im thinking about getting myself a pair of 100% Het Albino Hognose Snakes, and a mate for my Corn.

What else do you guys have?

So fun getting into something new I breed Corns and have just started getting into Thayeri Kings (pics below). Hogs are cute too, don't take up alot of space, not expensive to feed, you mentioned Albinos and there are some awesome high red ones out there that are really gorgeous. Have fun with whatever new project you pick

Bred Indian Cobras and Rio Fuerte Beaded lizards last year. This year I'm only working with the ball pythons but I'm looking to get into some monitors.

We also breed kingsnakes. Our female "Greyeye" went this year in early May. 10 eggs, 1 fertile. Then it started to grow mold. We did some care of the egg and otherwise seems to be developing normally. In other words, this year was a bust X^P

We have a young male Hognose we would like to breed someday, but obviously not in a hurry. We have a white-sided Bullsnake that a friend of mine would like to breed to his very abberrant patterned melanistic male Bull.

It is a lot easier to clean up after a ball lays eggs, than it is a boa mess.

yea...I learned that this year...lol..but it was worth it.

Dubia roaches. Not much involvement.
Add water crystals, add food...

Eventually I want to get into another species, most likely carpets.
Not enough space now.

animals that i breed regularly:
ball pythons
rats
mice
ASF rats

and sometimes....fruit flies, house flies, and crickets.

did do leopard geckos, just to see if i could. but not really my thing.....i still have a hard time figure out all the different combos, not to mention tell what morphs they are when they hatch.

upcoming animals i plan on breeding (just waiting till they get to size and/or find the right mate):

bloods (curtus & brongersmai)
panther chams
