Ohhh the fun of quad hets.....

CBI Jun 11, 2011 06:29 PM

Nine good eggs and 8 look like poss hets, though a few may be axanthics. I can just see dark animals in the eggs... But here is this gem Now comes the hope that it is a female! Last year Rainer hatched a triple homozygous out of a quad het clutch and ALL the siblings (12 others) were normal poss hets. Another clutch that he hatched gave him the quad visual PB, T-, Hypo, Axanthic and guess what, all the siblings were normal poss hets, go figure! Crazy how odds and sex ratios work out sometimes: I hatched a Jelly x Jelly clutch that were all males and a clutch of 9 Eastern Kings that were all females... Anyways, here he/she is

Just like the honey badger, Nature don't care - nature don't give a s%&t! Nature does what she wants to do! Hahaha!

Awesome bro! Congrats. Post some more pics when he/she decides to vacate that egg.

The honey badger rules.

But it doesn't care. It just don't give a %^&$! HA HA!

Does anyone interested in hybrids have, or know where I can get, detailed information on cross breeding kings with corns?

About nature? Ain't that the truth! But they do all seem healthy, most of them have now eaten F/t (from both clutches), so I'll count it as a major success for my first effort

True. No matter what the results; as long as they're healthy, happy, robust... And begin feeding, what more can you really hope for.

CBI Jun 12, 2011 11:35 AM

Man I struck out on a lot of het to het stuff before this clutch but I guess it's all worth it now. You have some 100% double het ghosts (btw the ghosts from the 123s are killer) and they are poss het pb so grow em up and produce some awesome stuff still! And this and Rainer's luck goes to show you that it's possible that your poss hets still may be hets and the "odds gods" just werent on your side. Rainer's and my breedings were 100% hets and out of 27 babies total between those three clutches, two triple homos, one quad homo, and two axanthics lol. That means 22 were normals... Though I know Rainer has produced clutches from other 123 females that yielded almost all visuals of some sort, just luck of the draw...... Goodluck in the future on that pair
