anyone breeding these or are the ones in the classifieds ranched? I would rather buy from the breeder if possible.

No there is no one breeding them and they are not ranched either. They simply get eggs from wild caught females, AT BEST. Most are just wild babies.
I knew one of the exporters, he told me that they told the locals to bring only babies.
Their were many reasons and none are conservation minded, althought collecting babies is better then collecting adults.
They get the same if not more money for babies and shipping which is their only hard cost is much cheaper. They can ship 10 to 20 babies for the price of one adult.
Cheers
so should there be hesitation in getting one of these for any reason, not just health and acclimation, but preservation or to promote better importation?
Thats something for you to decide.
Personaly, you would be far better off with something truly captive hatched in this country, or your own country.
The whole export/import system is truly horrible. But again, its up to you.
I do like peachies, and if you get one, first try to find one thats captive hatched, which happens from time to time, but is rare. Then hand pick a very healthy GROWING individual, from some shop. That is, watch it in their store for a while. Let the store discover if it has organ damage or not. Good Luck
thanks for the info. I prefer captive anyway...

I had bred Jobiensis a few years back.
I hatched out several clutches.
Awesome species Brother.

those atte some very peach babies! are they bold, or is it a "you can't touch me if you can't find me" species? I am debating on them and black rough necks... let me know your experiences.
Josh
If you start with some really young Jobiensis they will become as tollerent as any other species.
Lately there has been some folks claiming they are shy and skidish, this has not been my experience with this species.
If cared for properly they are very out going and rewarding captives!

I purchase some if Mikes babies and still own the majority of them to thi day. The cbb idividuals really calm down. I actually hand feed the two I still have at my house not that I recomend anyone ever doing this. Its all about how you keep them I have never forced handeling on them if you do they will remeber the experience. Just be patient with them and the become fun outgoing captives and not shy secretive boring ones. Just my two cents. Ian
