Two of my favorite breeders...

CBI Jun 15, 2011 01:57 AM

Zenny produced this male ghost a few years ago and he is like a whitish lavender color now with hardly any markings. He also hatched this male hybino who has turned out to be one of my favorite snakes.

Here they were as babies...

And here they are now... (hybino pic is from last year, sorry he is in shed right now)

That is the best Ghosts 9axanthic x hypo homozygot) I have seen. But i think that jorge also has a unique specimen ghost like that. i wonder if it is from the same line/trait gentics?

Jorge can you let us know and maybe post a pic of yours?

here is your average looking Ghost:

Anyone else got Ghosts to post?

What axanthic line was used? Do you know who did the original breeding? Is there a chance that it came from Agosta line of different morphs?

On that note, is there/was there, ever a "Fengya Line" of NE Axanthics, or some that he specifically worked with?

The "Nw England" axanthics are the Fengya line.

The line of axanthic has nothing to do with how light the ghost are, it's all about the "hypo" line used.

Tom A. does breed classic ghosts but he had no interest in breeding light ones (well until he got a really light pair from me that are het WS).

I produced some really unique light ghost & hypos last season that were dead in egg, i hope to get luckier this season.

That Ghost Jeremy has is freakishly WHITE rather than the "powder blue" in Jorge's male as well as my adult males

Adult breeder

Another "untainted" Male: this one looks just like Jorge's male now: This male was produced from two ghost both of which hatched out of 2x hets produced by Dave B (Adult Male was from Brandon O. [super light one you can still find in the photo gallery] ; Female was from Dave B [pic he posts of the yawning ghost].)

Just for the record. There is no Beard line. All the Beard hypo animals actually came from kevin Maxwell.

Let's back it up all the way. All of them came from Elohim.

The Beard line hypos which people purchased from Doug Beard. Who made a killing selling the first hypos for $700. at the same time the Loves were. . He sold them for about 3 years at that price. What everyone didn't know is Doug was buying them from kevin Maxwell. Doug did not catch any wildcaughts nor popped out any hypos from his stock. He simply brokered them as a middleman. Of course he did not want people to know where he was getting them. So a few made up stories were told.

Where did the Peanut Butters originate? I've always wanted to know, and since were on the subject of origin, I figured I'd ask.

The Peanut Butter history is a long story. It is several pages long and I have posted it here numerous time over the years. Unfortunatly I don't have it saved and I already had to retype it sevral times. So i would have to look it up in the archives..or you can try.

Here's my best ghost...LOL! Actually I meant to say, my ONLY ghost.

She's still quite young in these pics, so hopefully has a lot of lightening up to do still.

CBI Jun 15, 2011 02:01 PM

Rainer, I dont believe that Tom agosta does a lot with just plain axanthics, although I could be wrong. His axanthics show up in his PP Snows and ghosts (his ghosts do not look like these, they have much more dark pigment, but i still like em!) And micah goodluck on those eggs! Hope you hatch some Ghosts, axans, and hypos het ws!!

those look almost like BULL SNAKES. what kinds of SNAKES are they?

mbrawley Jun 15, 2011 02:53 PM

It's a ghost florida king. One snake; the same snake in both pics. I think I stated that at the top of my post if you had read it...or if you had comprehended what you read.

Bluerosy Jun 15, 2011 02:55 PM

I don't think this mcreely guy is for real. Just ignore him and he will go away.

Good deal Micah! Those eggs look good bro! I've been getting only 4 or 5 good eggs from all my girls. Most of them are breeding for the first time so, I'll take what I can get. Good luck!

I know what you mean. At first I was a little disappointed by the clutch size, but that only lasted for about....hmmmm...5 seconds. LOL! 6 out of 6 perfect eggs, with a chance to produce another ghost or two (if I'm lucky), and all het for WS; I'm now VERY happy. I just hope they all hatch out and are healthy.

I must say I can't get enough of all of these pictures on this thread. Between what you, Jeremy, and Zenny have all posted, it's a sensory over-load. I love 'em all man!

ZFelicien Jun 15, 2011 03:41 PM

Those two are from the same clutch Parents are 3x hets (Snow x Hypo) from Tim Ricks

"Hybino" & "Ghost"

you also picked these up... did you hold onto them?

Siblings to "Ghost" & "Hybino"

Hypo (66% poss het axan 50% poss het lav): Hypo het axan x 3x het (snow x hypo)

in that top picture one of them has real blue scales on his head around his eyes...what's up with that? Looks awesome

probly just enhanced may be just like some of mine to make them look better for the piture.

a153fish Jun 15, 2011 04:28 PM

no that's not enhanced. That's probably coming from the Axanthic gene, which gives a bluish hue.

gerryg Jun 15, 2011 04:38 PM

Please tell me you don't enhance that really red BS of yours, that thing is quite literally unbelievable.

If you do leave here for the Bull snake and Garter snakes group let me know so I can follow your unbelievable BS.

ZFelicien Jun 15, 2011 04:44 PM

That would be his eye balls! Morphs hatch out really transparent (even the dark ones) that's just the dark eye balls showing through his head scales.

As for "m77mcgreedy" please don't fool around with me, i'm certainly not up for childish b/s. Those pix actually SUCK by my standards and were take pre-shed immediately after all the snakes hatched out (except the individual pix that were taken post-shed), no enhancements needed. I produce killer Sh*t point blank!

CBI Jun 15, 2011 04:49 PM

Zenny...

YEPP!!! I have those hypos still and one is killer light! I will take some pics tomorrow if the weather is better but here are some that I took last year or two years ago. I have too many hypo males but id hate to let those go!

Oh... and no hybino interest u guys???? lol!
